How does the Nations League work?

The Nations League has made minor changes to the format since it began, but the rules are still very similar.

There are 55 teams, split into four leagues, in which there are 14 different groups – four each for Leagues A to C and just two in League D.

Teams play home and away with the winners of the four League A groups progressing to the UEFA Nations League Finals.

Those who win in leagues B, C and D will be promoted to the next tier, while relegation will come for the teams finishing bottom of leagues in A and B, while those who finish bottom of the C leagues will playoff to avoid relegation to group D.

Nations League Predictions

Some punters were a little cautious about the first edition of the Nations League. Now that we all know what to expect, the betting action is only going to heat up for the 2020/21 league semis.

Nations League Betting Markets & Specials

The amount of markets for the Nations League betting offers are nothing short of impressive.

  • League A, B, C, D winners: You can also place bets on the winners from each league, with the lower leagues and underdogs offering better returns.
  • Top goalscorer: Lukaku is in the lead, but we expect big changes – particularly as Serbian players are in the top five…
  • BTTS markets: These markets are brilliant for those games where you are unsure of the result.
  • To reach the finals of the Euros: This is another one you can get decent returns for, and is one of the more popular betting options.
