We’ve got boxing action spanning Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend, as another stab at a 9/1 Acca steals the headlines over at freebets.com.
We’ve got an eclectic blend of youth, experience and raw power in these three picks – take a closer look below:
Caroline Dubois to beat Yanina del Carmen Lescano by Decision/Technical Decision (Friday 21:00)
There has been plenty of chat about Caroline Dubois bringing power to the women’s code, but even if she can prove how hard she can bang, it’s going to be pretty tricky to blitz her Argentinean opponent out inside 16 minutes.
Carmen Lescano has never been stopped as a pro and boasts 13 wins from her 15 contests, with Dubois’ six wins being dwarfed in experience.
But Dubois is destined for big things in the lightweight division.
She’s got five KOs in her six wins to date, but don’t bank on another this Friday night – a win will be just enough to keep the ball rolling.
Frazer Clarke vs Mariusz Wach – Under 7.5 Rounds (Friday 22:00)
After Frazer Clarke and the BOXXER stable made all the wrong headlines following failing to make a British heavyweight fight with Fabio Wardley, Clarke will be determined to make a statement inside York Hall on Friday.
A big KO of a big opponent in Wach will be just the ticket, with the travelling Pole already suffering four stoppage losses within his nine defeats.
Clarke is a wrecking ball once he gets going and has proven his ability of moving from the amateurs to the pros well.
Clarke has stopped all but one of his opponents so far since turning over in 2022 and we’re not expecting this one to go into the 8th round between two lumps.
Regis Prograis to beat Danielito Zorrilla in Rounds 4-6 (Sunday 03:00)
After Josh Taylor’s loss at the weekend to Teofimo Lopez, Regis Prograis could well lay claim to being the best 140-pounder on the planet.
He’ll have to prove it, however, and after signing for DAZN has the opportunity to get up and running in his first fight since November last year.
Prograis only has one loss on his slate – a contested MD loss to Josh Taylor in 2019 – and still has plenty of miles on the clock to run in the super lightweight division.
Zorrilla showed his vulnerability in a lopsided UD loss to Arnold Barboza Jr last summer and, considering Prograis is a better fighter, we should see a mid-fight stoppage here.
